Daily Sun celebrates 6th anniversary

Country’s leading English daily the “daily sun” has stepped into the sixth year of its publication. The family of the new generation daily has arranged a two-day programme to celebrate the occasion.

On the first day on Sunday evening, Shafiat Sobhan, vice chairman of Bashundhara Group, a leading business conglomerate of the country, and also the chief guest of the programme, cut the anniversary cake at daily sun premises in city’s Bashundhara Residential area as the assembled members of the staff clapped enthusiastically.

The acting editor of daily sun Md. Jamilur Rahman and advisory editor Amir Hossain received the honourable guests.

Among others, Kaler Kantho editor Emdadul Haque Milon, Bangladesh Pratidin editor Naem Nizam and Banglanews24 News in-Chief Alamgir Hossain, Kaler Kantho advisory editor Amit Habib and Kaler Kantho executive editor Mostofa Kamal attended the function.

Publisher of daily sun Maynal Hossain Chowdhury and Adviser (Press and Media) of Bashundhara Group Mohammad Abu Tayeb were also present.

Eminent citizen, journalists, well wishers, readers and sponsors joined a day long get-together function and paid floral greetings.

On the second day, there will be a get-together at the daily sun office in the EWMGL Complex at Bashundhara Residential Area.
