Bashundhara wins four Superbrands awards for LPG, paper products

Four market-leading products including paper and liquefied petroleum gas products of Bashundhara Group have been awarded the title of ‘Superbrands’, the first of its kind for any industrial conglomerates in the country.

The prestigious title was given to Bashundhara LPG, Bashundhara Diapant, Basundhara Paper and Bashundhara Tissue at a grand virtual award ceremony organised by Uk-based Superbrands on Thursday.

Superbrands is a global media communications and publishing business with a presence in 89 countries.
Prime Minister’s Advisor Salman F Rahman was the chief guest while Superbrands Bangladesh Managing Director Shariful Islam made the address of welcome on the occasion.

Bashundhara LPG and Bashundhara Paper received the recognition multiple times for holding market-leading position while Bashundhara Diapant made a debut as ‘Superbrands’ after its launch in 2017.

Since its launch in 1993, Bashundhara Paper gained a market share of 40 per cent in the paper market while Bashundhara Tissue covers 70 per cent of tissue market ‘in terms of availability’.

Salman F Rahman said the recognition is a reflection of the hard work of the people of all companies who are being awarded.

‘Superbrands’ are selected through a process which involves independent and voluntary panels of experts from a range of backgrounds, known as the ‘Brand Council’. Superbrands Bangladesh Managing Director Shariful Islam said the quality brands are delivering both from product and services point of view both in a tangible and intangible way over a period of time builds trust, a trust that is built over a continuous period of time – builds a Superbrand.

He said the objective of Superbrands Bangladesh is to select brands that have been successful in Bangladesh with their strong market presence and a great reputation, brands that are considered to have excelled in particular fields and stand out from the average.
In a recorded message, Bashundhara Group Sector-A Head of Marketing ZM Ahmed Prince and Sector-C Head of Marketing and Business Towfique Hasan made the vote of thanks to Superbrands Bangladesh for recognizing four brands of the industrial conglomerate, making history in the award of its kind.

Green Delta Insurance Managing Director Farzanah Chowdhury expressed gratitude to the employees and all the partners for their relentless effort for continuous innovation in developing new products and services for the clients.

Launched in 1993, Superbrands has become the biggest success symbol for brands, Superbrands Bangladesh said in a statement.
